sometimes we have Little Caeser’s pizza for dinner

I said this to one of my friends a few weeks ago and we both laughed and she said, “really? We do sometimes too. I never would have guessed that you did too!”

For real?

Allow me to take this time to clear up any misconceptions about the life of Dr. Fit Mom…

We don’t eat perfectly 100% of the time.

We probably don’t even hit the 90% mark.

I really strive for a balance of eating cleanly 80% of the time.

There’s no denying the fact that sometimes the drive-thru may seem inevitable.

Pizza delivery (or hot ‘n ready. Ha.) might seem like the only option to keep your family from turning on you.

I get it. That is our reality as well.

But then next time, the next day, I try to do a better job planning meals, being prepared, all the things I should be doing anyway. Ha.

So I just wanted to help you let out a sigh of relief that you are not alone.

Even a “fitness coach” makes some not-so-great choices sometimes.

But you know what?  I never guilt myself about it. I never feel like I have to exercise harder to make up for it. I never wallow in “what am I doing to my family?”

I move on. I do better. And I live life.

So if I have any words for you today, it would be: give yourself some grace and then move on.

Onward!

This “fit life” is a journey…there are ups and downs, and if we did not struggle, we would not be human (and you and I couldn’t be friends. 🙂 )

Strive to make wise food choices 80% of the time. If you hit 90%, bravo!  But when you have those not so great moments, the key is to GET UP and not let that be free license to go on a free-for-all.

You are worth more than that.

Ladies, if you would like additional accountability, I would love for you to join my free online community on Facebook HERE. We are all in this thing together, and we keep each other motivated and supported through this journey.

Until next time, here’s to believing this week will not have to include Little Caesar’s pizza! 🙂

Warmly,

Stephanie
